This trip was actually planned by Wayne & Heidi Cornutt. The plan was for 3 couples (Wayne & Heidi Cornutt, Hayward & Trena Mathis' and Mark & Karen Campbell) to ride to the Gold Wing rally in Dallas, Texas for a few days. From Dallas, we would head over into New Mexico to the Rocky Mountains and follow them north to Estes Park, Colorado (the entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park). On the way to Dallas, Wayne became ill, so he and Heidi couldn't finish the trip beyond Wing Ding. From the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Campbell's and Mathis' headed up to Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument, Deadwood and the Badlands. On the way home, we rode over to the Corn Palace and down through Kansas City.
