Karen and I rode down to Jacksonville, Florida for the annual IBA
party. This event is held every year during Bike Week. On the ride
down, we stopped at the Stephen Foster State Park at the south entrance to the
Okefenokee Swamp to hunt for gators.
This year the IBA hosted the Gator 1000, a 1,033 mile ride around
the state of Florida which had to be completed in 24 hrs. In order to
prove we actually did the ride, we had to stop and take mandatory pictures along
the route. That morning, the IBA provided us with a rally flag that was
required to be in all the pictures.
On the ride home, we stopped at the east entrance to the
Okefenokee Swamp. We enjoyed a boat tour in the swamp. It was
definitely a gator theme during the whole trip!
